Abstract:Objective:To explore the value of D-Dimer level in the diagnosis and treatment for patients with esophageal carcinoma. Method:The level of D-Dimer of 120 cases of patients with esophageal carcinoma was tested before and after operation, and was compared with healthy cohort.Exploring the relationship between the level of D-Dimer and the clinical and pathological parameters, analyzing the variation of D-Dimer before and after esophagectomy.Result:The D-Dimer level of patients with esophageal cancer was higher than that of the healthy cohort.Compared with early stage, the level of D-Dimer was higher in patients with advanced TNM stage cancer.Groups were comparable in clinical features. The increase of preoperative D-Dimer was related to postoperative combination. The D-Dimer of the most patients decreased dramatically 2 weeks after the treatment of surgery, especially in the Ⅲ-Ⅳ TNM stage cases, however the level of the patients with serious postoperative combinations was still higher than the healthy cohort(P<0.05).Conclusion:D-Dimer is a reliable sensitive factor and is helpful for the auxiliary diagnosis and treatment. It is also a predictor of the surgical risk for the esophageal carcinoma.
