Correlation between Staging of Ovarian Cancer with C-reactive Protein
CHENG Feng
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the relationship between staging of ovarian cancer with C-reactive protein.Method:The case of 98 ovarian cancer patients were selected from January 2008 to June 2012,and clinicopathological and C-reactive protein data were analyzed retrospectively.Result:The mean C-reactive protein was(6.65±3.56)mg/L in the early stage ovarian cancer group,(43.70±23.85)mg/L in the advanced stage ovarian cancer group, and (3.13±0.55)mg/L in the control group.Compared with the control group, there were significant differences in the data of C-reactive protein in patients with ovarian cancer. The same results were also observed between advanced groups and early groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:CRP is closely related to the pathologic staging of ovarian cancer,CRP is important for the identification of benign and malignant ovarian tumor diagnosis and the prediction of pathological staging, which have certain significance to the prognosis of ovarian carcinaoma.
