Abstract:Objective:To explore the changes and prognostic values of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte rate(NLR) in patients with acute pancreatitis(AP). Method:The data of 46 patients with AP who were treated in our hospital were retrospectively analysed. To analyze their changes of neutrophil, lymphocyte and NLR.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was drawn and the area under curve(AUC) was compared. In addition,30 cases age-,gender-,body mass index(BMI)-matched healthy subjects(negative control group) were set up.Result:The NLR in AP group were higher than those in negative control group(P<0.01). Higher levels of long duration and slower declining(severe acute pancreatitis group,SAP group),higher levels of short duration and quicker decreasing(mild acute pancreatitis,MAP) occured in different patients.Compared with the MAP group, the NLR in SAP group was significantly increased(P<0.01).ROC curve showed the AUC of NLR in patients of AP was 0.842(95%CI:0.709-0.956).According to ROC curve,we derived urine NLR levels>12.38 to predict pathogenetic condition. Conclusion:The NLR has positive predictive value of pathogenetic condition in patients with AP.
