The Observation of the Efficacy of Phacoemulsification Cataract Extraction and Trabeculectomy in the Treatment of Primary Angle-closure ;Glaucoma and Cataract

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical effective and reliable surgical treatment for primary angle-closure glaucoma and cataract.Method:62 cases in our hospital with primary angle-closure glaucoma and cataract from December 2010 to December 2012 were chosen as the research object.The patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number method,31 cases in each group.The control group was taken trabeculectomy for treatment,and the treatment group was taken phacoemulsification cataract extraction and trabeculectomy for treatment.The IOP levels,visual level and central anterior chamber depth of the two groups were compared.Result:The IOP levels,the visual level,the central anterior chamber depth one year after operation in the treatment group were better than those in the control group,there were statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The efficacy of phacoemulsification cataract extraction and trabeculectomy in the treatment of primary angle-closure glaucoma and cataract is significant,and it is one of the ideal choice in clinical practice.
