Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) on the drug compliance and social function in patients with schizophrenia.Method:80 remitted patients with schizophrenia were randomly assigned to either therapy group(n=40) receiving cognitive remediation treatment or control group(n=40)receiving common treatment, both for 3 months. Before and after treatment, the patients in both groups were respectively assessed by patient compliance scales and SSPI rating scales;and the recurrence rates of the two groups were compared after treatment.Result:Four patients of each group dropped at the endpoint. No significant differences were found between two groups at pre-treatment in patient compliance score and SSPI score(allP>0.05).After treatment, the two groups showed significant differences in compliance score(t=2.50,P<0.05) and SSPI score (t=3.30,P<0.05),and the recurrence rates of therapy group (13.9%) were lower than control group (33.3%).Conclusion:The cognitive remediation treatment can enhance the compliance of schizophrenic patients and improve their social function.
