Effects of TSH and Disease Duration on Blood Lipid in Hypothyroidism

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effects of TSH and disease duration on blood lipid in patients with hypothyroidism.Method:Retrospectively diagnosis for thyroid function in patients with decreased as the research objects,they were divided into the long course group and the short course group. Determination of total cholesterol,triglyceride,high density lipoprotein cholesterol,low density lipoprotein cholesterol and TSH in two groups.Total cholesterol, triglyceride,high density lipoprotein cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol of two groups were compared,effects of different levels of TSH on blood lipids.Result:Total cholesterol,triglyceride,high density lipoprotein cholesterol,low density lipoprotein cholesterol between two groups,there were statistical significance differences(P<0.05).TSH>12 mIU/L in patients with TSH than 12 mIU/L in patients with abnormal rate was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:This study shows that hypothyroidism course and the level of TSH are closely related with lipid metabolism.
