Clinical Experience of Bone Splitting Technique in Anterior Edentulous Zone

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of the implant by bone splitting technique in anterior edentulous zone.Method:21 patients with 27 Ankylos implants were included in this study.The labial-lingual thickness of alveolar was from 3 to 4 mm for everybody,the operation was placed after splitting the bone immediately and constructed with the guided bone regeneration,patients were followed up 1 year after restorations and the PES value after restorations and 1 year later were measure for comparison.X-ray and clinical examination were taken to observe the gingival tissue health and stability of the implant.The clinical effect of the implant by bone splitting technique in anterior edentulous zone were analyzed and evaluated.Result:The success rate of implant was 92.6%.The PES was changed form (9.60±0.74) to (10.20±0.85) one year later.Conclusion:The techniques of bone splitting is a effective method for alveolar bone augmentation and could obtion satisfactory clinical effects of implant in the asthetic zone for right cases.
