Clinic and Pathological Analysis of 179 Cases on Percutaneous Renal Biopsy from A Single Center

Abstract:Objective:To retrospectively study 179 cases of native kidney biopsies from a single center in three years and to identify the epidemiological characters and age-specific pathological features.Method:The features of clinical data,age and types of pathology of 179 native kidney biopsies in single center were retrospectively analyzed.Result:Primary glomerulonephritis remained the most common pathologic pattern account for 78.77%.The most common type of primary glumerulonephritis was membranous nephropathy account for 31.91%.There were statistical significant in an age-specific impact on the constitution of primary glomerulonephritis and secondary glomerulonephritis(P<0.001).The most common membranous nephropathy was between 18-44 years old account for 44.44%.Patients between 18-44 years old were mainly focal minimal changes diseases.Patients aged more than 65 years were mainly focal membranous nephropathy(57.14%).The most common secondary kidney disease was Henoch-Schonlein Purpura Nephritis(50.00%) under 18 years old.Lupus nephritis was the most common(38.89%) in 18-44 years old.Conclusion:The pathologic patterns of primary glomerulonephritis and secondary glomerulonephritis varied yearly with age specific characteristics.
