Prospective Clinical Study of Early-to-middle Stage Nontraumatic Osteonecrosis of Femoral Head Patients Treated by Jianpi Huogu Recipe

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Jianpi Huogu Recipe in the treatment of early-to-middle stage nontraumatic osteonecrosis of femoral head(NONFH) patients.Method:200 NONFH patients in department of orthopedics of our hospital from May 2011 to June 2013 were selected as research objects.100 patients treated by Jianpi Huogu Recipe were regarded as the observation group,while the other 100 patients accepted surgery of core decompression,focus debridement and bone graft were regarded as the control group.The Harris score and SF-36 score were compared between the two groups. Result:In the observation group,the total score of Harris,joint deformity,joint range of motion,joint function,the scores of pain were significantly better than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Also,the physiological function,physiological functions,social function, emotional function,body pain,general health,vigour scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of Jianpi Huogu Recipe in the treatment of early-to-middle stage nontraumatic osteonecrosis of femoral head patients is obvious,and it is better than operation treatment in improving the function of hip joint and the quality of life of patients,is worthy of clinical application.
