Clinical and Pathologic Analysis of 20 Cases of Phyllodes Tumor of the Breast

Abstract:Objective:To investigate pathological features of phyllodes tumor of the breast.Method:The pathological features in 20 cases of phyllodes tumor of breast were retrospective analyzed.Result:The average age of the 20 cases was 39.5 years old,the average duration was 8 months.The size of tumor was 1.5-12 cm,including 3 cases of malignant type(15%) with 1 case of young and 2 cases of elderly,5 cases of verge type(25%) and 12 cases of benign type.Under the microscope,tumor was from benign epithelial and mesenchymal components of cellular.Double epithelium was arranged in a slit shape,around the overgrowth mesenchyme was lobed from mild to sarcoma.Conclusion:Phyllodes tumor of breast is rare tumor,correct diagnosis is on the basis of observed specimen and pathological morphology.
