The Application of SHEL Model in Nursing Adverse Events in Department of Hematology
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the application value of SHEL model in nursing adverse events in department of hematology.Method:A total of 3522 inpatients admitted to department of hematology in our hospital from January 2011 to December 2013 were selected.998 cases accepted usual care admitted from January 2011 to December 2011,and 2534 cases admitted from January 2012 to December 2013 were given SHEL model to guide nursing. The nursing adverse events in department of hematology were analyzed.Result:21 cases of nursing adverse events occurred in 2011,the incidence rate was 2.10%;11 cases of nursing adverse events occurred in 2012,the incidence rate was 0.89%;13 cases of nursing adverse events occurred in 2013, the incidence rate was 1.00%.The incidence of nursing adverse events in 2012 and 2013 were significantly lower than that in 2011,the differences were statistically significant(χ2=5.74,P=0.02;χ2=4.72,P=0.03).SHEL model analysis indicated that software and environmental agent were the mean reasons to induce nursing adverse events.Conclusion:It has an important clinical value by using the SHEL model to analysis and prevent the nursing adverse events in department of hematology.
