Epidemiological Characteristics of Hand-foot-and-mouth Disease and Evaluation of Nursing Intervention of Minorities in Remote Mountain of County in Guangxi

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of children hand-foot-and-mouth disease(HFMD) and evaluation of the effect of nursing intervention in remote disadvantaged areas in Donglan county in Guangxi,for the county to provide a reference for disease prevention and control and nursing intervention in the future.Method:The data of HFMD cases was collected for treatment of various medical units during 2008 to 2014 in the county,the nursing interventions were taken two categories five different times for treatment without hospitalization and hospital and nursing interventions classification.Result:The county in the past seven years,HFMD outbreaks were reported 7966 cases,the county located in the township,with an annual incidence rate of population 380.12/100,000,the township of cases in rural areas accounted for 69.96%(5573/7966),0-6 years old children accounted for 94.13%(7498/7796),1-4 years old accounted for 80.55%(6417/7966),in severe cases accounted for 2.71%(216/7966). After timely diagnosis and effective treatment classification nursing intervention the severe cases were cured,no deaths occured.Conclusion:The timely diagnosis and treatment of HFMD with effective of classification nursing interventions in the county can achieve better results.
