The Clinical Effect of Vitamin D3 Supplementation on Cardiac Function in Patients with Ischemic Heart Failure
Abstract:Objective:To explore positive clinical significance ot no of the vitamin D3 supplementation on heart function of patients with ischemic heart failure.Method:54 patients with ischemic heart failure in our hospital department of Cardiology from April 2013 to November 2013 were collected, and these patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group was 27 cases, since the beginning of the hospitalized,in addition to the conventional treatment of heart failure, every patient complemented Vitamin D3 1000 IU,27 cases of heart failure patients in the control group only received routine treatment of heart failure. The in-hospital mortality rate, the left ventricular ejection fraction value and BNP level of the patients in the two groups at admission and discharge were calculated. After 3 months of follow-up,the readmission rate of patients in two groups was calculated.EF value, the level of BNP and the content of serum 25(OH)D3 were detected in outpatients.Result:It had no significant difference in hospital mortality,EF value and BNP level at discharge between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),but the former had a significantly lower readmission rate than the latter(P<0.05).After 3 months, the content of serum 25(OH)D3 of the treatment group was obviously higher than that of the control group(P<0.001);cardiac function indexes of the former were obviously improved than the latter(P<0.05).Conclusion:Taking vitamin D3 supplements moderately may correct the deficiency of vitamin D status, and obviously improve the cardiac function of patients with ischemic heart failure, moreover it can reduce the readmission because of heart failure.
