The Application Analysis of Early Fracture Fixation in the Treatment of Multiple Rib,Sternum Fracture Caused by Severe Thoracic Trauma

Abstract：Objective:To observe the effect of early internal fixation in the treatment of multiple rib,sternum fracture severe caused by serve thoracic trauma.Method:80 cases of severe chest trauma patients with multiple rib and sternum fracture were selected in our hospital from March 2011 to March 2014.According to the order of admission patients,they were divided into the observation group and the control group,each group of 40 cases.The observation group with rib fracture was used memory titanium alloy,sternum fracture was used sternal plate;the control group was used the traditional suspension,rib compression bandage for conservative treatment of patients.The blood gas before and after treatment were compared,observed the treatment of hospitalized patients.Result:After treatment the PaO2 in the two groups was significantly increased,PaCO2 was decreased,there were significant differences in the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05);the PaO2,PaCO2 in the observation group after treatment were significantly better than those of the control group,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the mechanical ventilation time, patients hospitalization time,pulmonary infection and thoracic deformity in the observation group were less than those in the control group,there were significant differences in the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early internal fixation for multiple rib and sternum fracture caused by severe thoracic injury can effectively reduce the patient’s hospitalization time,ICU stay,the effect on the patients with pulmonary infection and thoracic deformity treatment is obvious,it is worth using widely in clinic.
