Study on the Anti-aging Effect of Kiwi Juice on D-Galactose Induced Aging Mice
Abstract:Objective:To study the anti-aging effect of Kiwi juice on aging mice induced by D-galactose and explore the underlying mechanisms. Method:The selected adult Kunming mice were divided into the blank control group, the aging model group and the Kiwi juice group according to the random number table method, eight rats in each group. The aging model mice was established by injection of D-galactose.The Kiwi juice group was given Kiwi juice according to the 12 g/kg for intragastric administration by building models at the same time. After 21 d,the superoxide dismutase, malondialdehyde and hydroxyl radical were measured respectively in serum and brain tissue of mice.Result:The SOD activity,MDA content and hydroxyl radical inhibition ability in serum and brain tissue of the aging model group compared with the blank control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The SOD activity and hydroxyl radical inhibition ability in serum and brain tissue of the Kiwi juice group were significantly higher than the aging model group, but the MDA content.was significantly lower than the aging model group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion:Kiwi juice has anti-aging effects on aging model mice. The mechanism may be related to its inhibitory effect on free radical and the enhancement of activity of antioxidases.
