Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical analysis of application of procalcitonin,C-reactive protein in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with severe bacterial infection.Method:30 patients with severe bacterial infection in department of internal medicine of our hospital from September 2013 to September 2014 were selected as the observation group,30 patients with no infection were selected as the control group, the procalcitonin,C reactive protein level of the two groups were detected and compared.Result:The PCT and CRP concentration of the observation group were significantly increased compared with the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of PCT and CRP in the observation group were 93.33%and 70.00%,which were significantly higher than 13.33%and 20.00%in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the PCT,CRP at treatment 48 h,treatment 72 h,before discharge were significantly decreased, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Procalcitonin and C-reactive protein have high sensitivity, specificity, can quickly clear diagnosis, application in severe bacterial infection with positive clinical significance.
