Abstract:Objective:To analyze and compare the clinical effects of different doses of Mifepristone in the treatment of perimenopausal functional menorrhagia.Method:108 patients with perimenopausal functional menorrhagia, who received the treatment from Oct 2011 to Oct 2013 in our hospital were selected, based on different doses, they were divided into the experimental group and the control group,54 cases in each group. The experimental group was given low dose of Mifepristone(6.25 mg),and the control group was given larger dose of Mifepristone(12.5 mg),once a day for 3 months. The effective rate, recurrence rate, amenorrhea rate and adverse effects rate of two groups were compared.Result:Two groups had remarkable improvements after taking mifepristone. The effective rate, recurrence rate and amenorrhea rate of two groups, there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).The adverse effects rate of the experimental group was 5.56%,and the control group was 25.93%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Mifepristone has a significant effect in the treatment perimenopausal functional menorrhagia.Comparing with larger dose, low doses of Mifipristone has a lower adverse effects rate, higher safety and better economical efficiency.Recommend the use of low dose of mifepristone in the clinical treatment.
