Abstract:Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of chalazion improved surgery in the treatment of children with chalazion.Method:79 children with chalazion admitted to our department from March 2013 to March 2014 were selected as research objects, they were divided into the traditional surgical group for 36 cases and the improved surgical group for 43 cases according to the random number table method.Cyst wall were cut off in traditional surgical group, the right amount of cyst wall were cut off in the improved surgical group, and then smeared the wall layer of the individual with 0.5%of the povidone-iodine.The perioperative nursing was strengthened in the course of treatment. The average surgical time, average hospitalization time, hematoma, infection after surgery, family satisfaction and postoperative recurrence between the two groups were observed and compared.Result:After treatment, the average surgical time and average hospitalization time of improved surgical group were significantly shorter than those of traditional surgical group, the occurrence rate of hematoma in improved surgical group was 4.65%(2/43),it was significantly lower than 25.00%(9/36) in traditional surgical group, the infection rate of improved surgical group was 0,it was significantly lower than 13.89%(5/36) of traditional surgical group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the recurrence rate and family satisfaction between the two groups. Conclusion:Compared with traditional surgical mode, the chalazion improved surgical mode is more safe and time saving for children with chalazion,is worthy of clinical promotion.
