Abstract:Objective:To investigate the clinical value of urinary sediment microscopy.Method:200 cases of urine sediment examination patients in our hospital from February 2012 to February 2014 were selected for the study. Two detection methods, urine analyzer and urinary sediment microscopy were used to detect patients’ urine, and the results of the two methods were analyzed and compared.Result:(1)Leukocyte positive rate and the positive rate of red blood cells detected by two detection methods had no significant difference(P>0.05).(2)Urine analyzer test results showed that 154 cases of patients with positive and negative in 46 patients, while been detected by urinary sediment microscopy,22 cases of false-positive and false-positive rate was 14.3%and 6 cases of false negative and false-negative rate was 13.0%.Conclusion:The use of urine analyzer to detected urinary sediment has a high false positive and false negative results, prone to clinical misdiagnosis. Therefore,as an important indicator of the diagnosis of kidney and urinary system diseases, urinary sediment microscopy cannot be completely urine analyzer replaced, its clinical value for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the urinary system is important in clinical.
