The Efficacy of Lactobacillus Complex Capsules on SIBO and Plasma Ammonia of the Patients with Cirrhosis

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of Lactobacillus Complex Capsules on SIBO and plasma ammonia of the patients with cirrhosis. Method:80 hepatitis B cirrhosis patients with ISBO positive in our hospital from June 2012 to December 2013 were selected,they were randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group,40 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional drugs treatment,the treatment group was given Lactobacillus Complex Capsules on the basis of conventional therapy,0.66 g/time,took orally,three times a day,the course of treatment was 4 weeks.The clinical effect and changes of plasma ammonia concentration before and after treatment.Result:After 4 weeks treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was 77.5%(31/40),it was significantly higher than 27.5%(11/40) of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of plasma ammonia after 4 weeks treatment in two groups were significantly lower than before treatment,the level of plasma ammonia in treatment group was (42.7±10.3)μmol/L,it was significantly lower than (76.6±8.5)μmol/L,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Lactobacillus Complex Capsules on cirrhotic patients with SIBO has remarkable curative effect,and can reduce the levels of plasma ammonia,is worthy of clinical use.
