Effect of Capsule Endoscopy in the Diagnosis of Obscure Gastrointestinal Bleedin g

Abstract：Objective:To study the effect of capsule endoscopy in the diagnosis of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding.It could provide a better way to diagnosis the gastrointestinal bleeding.Method:22 patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding from January 2012 to June 2013 in our hospital were to be studied.They were treated with capsule endoscopy,endoscopic findings and lesion detection rate case would be observed in patients.Result:22 cases were completed checks,including 11 cases of intestinal vascular malformations,small intestinal erosion 4 cases,1 case of intestinal lesions(lymphoma, confirmed by pathology),negative 6 cases.Lesion detection rate was 72.7%(16/22).Conclusion:Capsule endoscopy is safe,non-invasive,unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding with high diagnostic value,is worthy of recommendation.
