The Imaging Feature and the Lung Function Changes of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia in Children

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the imaging feature and lung function of mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children,to assist the clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method: The imaging feature and lung function of 52 children with MPP was analyzed retrospectively. The lung function of children with MPP during acute phase was compared with that during recovery phase.Result:The imaging of 52 children with MPP using the chest DR was reported that 22 cases showed pulmonary consolidation,14 cases showed changes in pulmonary interstitial,5 cases showed hilar lymphadenopathy,11 cases showed thickening of lung schlieren. The lung function of 48 children during acute phase was reported,33 cases were abnormal. The children with abnormal lung function were reviewed during the recovery phase, only 5 cases had small airway dysfunction, the remaining had be normal. The data of lung function during acute phase including FVC, FEV1,PEF,FEF25,FEF50,FEF75,FEF25-75 were significantly decreased compared with recovery phase(P<0.05).Conclusion: The results show that the imaging feature of children with MPP is diverse and the lung function has obviously changed during acute phase. We should monitor the lung function and keep away from the asthma.
