Effect of Puerarin Combined with Nimodipine in the Treatment of Cerebral Vascular Spasm after Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

Abstract：Objective:To observe the effect of Puerarin combined with Nimodipine in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm(CVS) after subarachnoid hemorrhage.Method:66 cases of CVS were divided into two groups,40 cases in the treatment group,26 cases in the control group,the control group was given conventional treatment of intracranial pressure,reducing conventional hemostasis,vegetative cells of drug. The treatment group based on the control group treatment with Puerarin,200-400 mg/time,adding 5% Glucose Injection 500 ml intravenous injection,once a day,Nimodipine 20 mg,3 times/day,oral, 10 days for a course of treatment.Result:The treatment group,30 cases(75.0%) were excellent,8 cases(20.0%) were effective,2 cases(5.0%) were invalid,the total efficiency of the treatment group were 38 cases(95.0%).The control group,10 cases(38.5%) were excellent,5 cases(19.2%) were effective,11 cases(42.3%) were invalid,the total effective were 15 cases(57.7%),the curative effect of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group,there was a significant difference(P<0.001).Conclusion:Puerarin combined with Nimodipine has a good curative effect,convenient taking,no toxic side effects in the treatment of cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage,can reduce the morbidity and mortality,and could be applied in clinic.
