Clinical Observation of Short-term Intensive Insulin Therapy in 39 Patients with Newly Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the effect of short-term intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes Mellitus.Method:78 newly diagnosed cases of type 2 diabetic mellitus patients,treated in our hospital,were randomly divided into two groups,39 cases in each.The control group was given by subcutaneous injection of insulin therapy.The observation group was given intensive treatment by insulin pump.Result:After treatment,2 h PBG,FBG level of two groups were decreased,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The incidence of hypoglycemia of the observation group was 7.69%,was less than that of the control group(28.21%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Patients with insulin glucose recovery time,the observation group were less than that of the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusion:Short term intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus,curative effect is good.
