Abstract:Objective:To explore and discuss the mechanism of Gastropylor Complex Capsules in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis. Method:Rat CAG model was prepared firstly, and then three experienmental groups inclusive of model control group, normal control group, and Gastropylor Complex Capsule group were set for comparison.Observations were made on the activity of pepsin and free acid in the gastric juices and the histopathological changes on gastric mucosa.Result:After 30-day treatment of castropylor complex capsules, the content of free acid in gastric juice, when compared with that of model group, increased more significantly, which showed there was a significant increase of free acid in gastric juice(P<0.05). In the meanwhile, the activity of pepsin also enhanced, though with no significant difference(P>0.05).Gastric mucosa epithelial cells evidently improved from abnormal cell morphology, the number of inflammatory cells on gastric mucosa reduced obviously, and pathological state on the gastric mucosa changed from thinner to normal by gradually thickening. Conclusion:Gastropylor Complex Capsules can significantly improve the pathological state of chronic atrophic gastritis.
