Clinical Investigation on Hepatic Artery Infusion Chemotherapy for Prevention of Liver Metastasis of Gastric Carcinoma Based on Survival Analysis
Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the value of hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy for the prevention of liver metastasis from gastric carcinoma after radical operation for carcinoma of stomach.Method:According to the different treatment methods,31 cases without liver, lung, brain metastasis of distant organs in patients with gastric carcinoma were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group were treated with hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy while the control group underwent peripherally inserted central catheter chemotherapy, and the survival time without liver metastasis was compared. Result:In the treatment group, the average survival time without liver metastasis was (23.3±2.1)months,while in the control group, the average survival time without liver metastasis was (18.5±2.6)months.There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(t=5.732,P<0.05).The survival curves of two groups by the endpoint of liver metastasis had statistically significant difference (Log-Rank χ2=17.791,P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the conventional intravenous chemotherapy, hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy after radical resection of colon cancer can effectively delay the liver metastasis after radical resection radical operation for carcinoma of stomach, and is a modus operandi for the prevention of liver metastases from gastric carcinoma.
