The Efficacy of Mini-PCNL in the Treatment of Upper Urinary Tract Calculi
Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of mini-PCNL in the treatment of upper urinary tract calculi.Method:91 patients with upper urinary tract calculi were admitted from January 2007 to April 2014.The patients included 51 cases of renal stones,22 cases of upper urinary tract calculi,and 18 combined cases.There were 12 cases of multiple stones and staghorn stones.Result:89 cases were successfully,and the operation time varies from 45 to 162 min.The stone clearance rate was 86.5%(77/89).There were no serious complications such as hemopneumothorax,injury of viscera,and resection of kidney.There was no serious post-operation bleeding,however,4 patients had got fever.Conclusion:The treatment of mPCNL for upper urinary tract calculi,including renal stones,can receive high rate of stone clearance,high safety,and lower surgical bleeding,blood transfusion and other complications.
