Abstract:Objective:To investigate the preventive effect of the high-flow humidification oxygen therapy system on hospital-acquired pneumonia in tracheotomied patients.Method:A total of 75 patients had been out of breathing machine with tracheotomy were randomly divided into experimental group(45 cases) and control group(30 cases). The patients in the experimental group received heated and humidified high-flow oxygen therapy with the new system, while the patients in the control group were managed with traditional artificial airway humidification. The incidence of hospital acquired pneumonia,Airway of wetting effect, Airway nursing time and the complications were observed in both groups.Result:Airway moist satisfaction in experimental group was more high than control group, the incidences of hospital acquired pneumonia and complications in the experimental group were lower than that of control group and the airway nursing time each day for experimental group was shorter than that of control group simultaneously, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The new type of high-flow humidification oxygen therapy system can improve comfort and efficacy of the oxygen therapy in tracheotomied patients, reduce complications and nursing time, reduce the incidence rate of hospital acquired pneumonia.
