Comparison of Holmium Laser Lithotripsy Under Ureteroscope and Open Operation in the Treatment of Ureteral Calculi

Abstract：Objective:To compare the clinical effect of ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and open operation in the treatment of ureteral calculi. Method:In our hospital from September 2011 to December 2012 100 cases of ureteral calculi,they were divided into lithotripsy operation group and open operation group,lithotripsy operation group was given ureteroscopic holmium:YAG laser lithotripsy.Open operation group was given traditional operation method. The clinical effect of two groups were observed.Result:The two groups of patients after surgical treatment,18% better than the open group success rate of lithotripsy group(P<0.05).At the same time for surgical operation time,bleeding volume during operation,drainage tube removal time,hospitalization time were significantly better than open surgery(P<0.05).No complications occurred for the patients in operation group and open surgery group,11 cases had complications. Conclusion:The clinical effect of holmium laser lithotripsy under ureteroscope in the treatment of ureteral calculi is good and worth of clinical application.
