Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effect of semi-constrained total elbow arthroplasty in the treatment of complex distal humeral fractures. Method:Twelve cases were from 2010 to 2012 in the hospital were observed. Patients were diagnosed complex fractures of the distal humerus and treated by semi-constrained total elbow arthroplasty with LINK ENDO-MODEL prosthesis. The mean ages were 62.5 years old, according to AO classification, there were four cases in C2,and eight in C3. Evaluated with Mayo elbow score.Result:12 cases follow-up for 9-18 months, all cases acquired excellent elbow function. Conclusion:Semi-constrained total elbow arthroplasty is an effective method in the treatment of complex distal humeral fractures.
