Abstract:Objective:To investigate the combined effects of Alprostadil with Alpha Lipoic Acid on insulin resistance and metabolic disorder in patients with type 2 diabetes.Method:180 patients with type 2 diabetes with well glucose control were randomly and averagely divided into two groups, research group and control group.Routine diet regulation and drug therapy were applied to control group, and additional treatment with Alprostadil and Alpha Lipoic Acid was adopted for research group, with a research period of 4 weeks. At the beginning and the end of our research, blood samples were collected from every subject for quantifying FBS,FINS,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and TG,and we collected data of body mass and height. Then HOMA2-IR and BMI were calculated.SPSS 17.0 statistical analysis software was adopted for comparing the above indexes.Result:There was no withdrawal during the whole research. The level of FBS,FINS,TC,HDL-C, LDL-C,TG,HOMA2-IR and BMI at baseline were not significantly different between the two groups(P>0.05).By the end of our study,FBS and TG in research group was not significantly different than that in control group(P>0.05),but FINS,TC,LDL-C,HOMA2-IR and BMI of research group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05),and HDL-C was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combined therapy of Alprostadil with Alpha Lipoic Acid may be effective in improving insulin resistance and metabolic disorders on the basis of well glucose control.
