A Comparative Study of Proximal Femoral Nail Antirotation and Proximal Femoral Locking Compression Plate in Treatment of Femoral Intertrochanteric Fractures
DONG Ai-jun
Abstract:Objective:To compare the outcome of proximal femoral nail antirotation and proximol femoral locking compression plate in treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures.Method:97 cases of patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures were treated in author’s hospital.According to the operation method was divided intoproximal femoral antirotation intramedullary nail group(57 cases) and proximal femoral locking plate group(40 cases),the two groups of patients with operation trauma(length of incision, operation time, amount of bleeding during operation period),postoperative complications, loading time, fracture healing time and Harris score the excellent and good rate were compared.Result:All patients were followed up for 8~36 months, average 24.6 months.PFNA group of average length of incision, operation time, bleeding volume, postoperative weight-bearing time and incidence of complications were lower than the proximal femoral locking plate group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the average healing time of fracture and the excellent and good rate of Harris score, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:PFNA internal fixation with shorter operation time, less trauma, reliable fixation, fewer complications, patients recover quickly etc,can be used as the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures fixed method is preferred.
