The Short-term Clinical Effects of Entecavir on Hepatic Failure in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B
HUANG Zhao-quan
Abstract:Objective:To explore the short-term clinical effects of entecavir on hepatic failure in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Method:60 cases of liver failure in patients with chronic hepatitis B were selected in author’s hospital, were randomly divided into observation group and control group,30 cases in each. The observation group was given entecavir, the control group was given lamivudine. The biochemical index(albumin, total bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase, prothrombin activity) were observed before and after treatment in the two groups, the mortality rate was observed in two groups. Result:The death rate in the observation group after treatment of 3 months was 3.3%.The death rate in the control group after treatment of 3 months was 23.3%. The mortality in the observation group patients during treatmentwas lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The albumin, total bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase, prothrombin activity in the observation group after treatment compared with those in control group after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Entecavir on hepatic failure in patients with chronic hepatitis B has significant efficacy, and the therapy is worthy of reference.
