The Efficacy and Safety of Docetaxel Combined with Platinum Based First-line Treatment for Elderly Patients with Advanced Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To explore the effect and safety of Docetaxel combined with Platinum treatment for elderly patients with advanced non-small cell cancer.Method:48 patients with advanced non-small cell cancer in our hospital from May 2009 to April 2013 were divided into two groups.The control group was given Docetaxel alone,while the combined group were given Docetaxel combined with Platinum therapy.Recording the therapeutic efficacy and quality of life of patient.Result:The recent effect,PFS and OS of two groups were no significant difference(P>0.05).The side effect of control group was lower than that of combined group(P<0.05).The quality of life of control group was better than that of combined group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Docetaxel treatment alone is same as that with Platinum in clinical effect.Docetaxel treatment alone has lower side effect rates and higher quality of life.
