The Diagnosis and Treatment Value of MR 3D-B-FFE Sequence in Trigeminal Neuralgia Caused by Vascular Compression
Abstract：Objective:To investigate the value of MR 3D-B-FFE sequence in diagnosis of trigeminal neuralgia caused by vascular compression. Method:Fifty-eight patients with trigeminal neuralgia diagnosed by clinical were analyzed retrospectively. The 3D-B-FFE MR images were compared with the surgical results. Result:Preoperative MR 3D-B-FFE images showed 54 cases from all 58 patients of trigeminal nerve compression with the positive rate of 93.1%. In 58 patients,56 cases were found responsible vessels,3D-B-FFE sequence showed a lesion and operation in line with the rate of 96.43%. Conclusion:3D-B-FFE sequence can clearly show the spatial relationship between the trigeminal nerve cisternal segment and the responsible vessels,which is important for diagnosis and treatment. MR 3D-B-FFE sequence is an ideal preoperative examination for trigeminal neuralgia caused by vascular compression.
