The Effect of 2%Lidocaine Topical Anesthesia on Emergence Agitation of Indwelling Catheter in Male Patients with General Anesthesia
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effects of 2%lidocaine topical anesthesia on the emergence agitation of indwelling catheter in male patients with general anesthesia. Method:Sixty male patients with general anesthesia were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group,30 cases in each group. The experimental group were taken 2%Lidocaine topical anesthesia 5 min after indwell the catheter, and the control group were normally indwelt catheters after induction anesthesia. Result:The effective rate of the control group was 16.7%while the experimental group was 66.7%after treatment, and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:2%Lidocaine topical anesthesia can significantly improve the tolerance of indwelling catheter, and effectively reduce the incidence of emergence agitation caused by urinary pain in male patients after general anesthesia.
