Psychological Nursing Intervention in Pediatric Patients’Families Anxiety

Abstract：Objective:To discuss anxiety psychological nursing intervention on pediatric families. Method:Choose pediatric inpatient families of children with 140 cases were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,each group of 70 cases. The control group was not given special psychological nursing intervention. The observation group was given corresponding psychological nursing according to the families of children with psychological characteristics of comorbid anxiety. The time of admission and discharge by the self-assessment lists of anxiety (SAS),depression self rating scale (SDS) and the questionnaire investigation were compared after treatment. Result:The observation group of families of children in hospital with the average crude scores of SAS and SDS were (56.34±8.42) and (53.68±7.56),the control group of families of children in hospital with the average crude scores of SAS and SDS were (57.21±8.96) and (54.56±8.01),There were significant difference compared with normal domestic norm(P<0.01). There was no significant difference of score on admission of anxiety in the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).The observation group with family members out of the hospital of the average crude scores of SAS and SDS were (30.24±8.65) and (32.21±8.76),the control group with family members out of the hospital of the average crude scores of SAS and SDS were (47.21±9.32) and (44.86±6.89),and the difference between the two groups were all statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:By assessing families of children with anxiety scores on admission to hospital and given different psychological nursing,in the treatment of children with disease should be carried out with psychological treatment and timely application of anti-anxiety agents which promote the friendly relationship between nurses and patients and improve the level of care and patient satisfaction in hospital.
