Present Usage Survey of Insulin Pen Needles for 42 Cases of Diabetic Patients Outside the Hospital
Abstract：Objective:To understand the situation of usage of insulin needles for diabetics outside the hospital ,to analysis the reasons of not timely replacing hypodermic needles. Method:Applying self-designed questionnaire of insulin injections for outside the hospital carries on a questionnaire survey among 42 patients,by face to face about knowing the cause of the patient reuse needles.Result:Patients reusing insulin pen needles account for 78.6%in 42 patients.They didn’t know the harm of reusing needles,and they didn’t know that the frequency of needle replacement and the economic reason were the main factors affecting the patient to reuse needles. Conclusion:A variety of channels should be established,patients with diabetes should be received full education about knowledge related to insulin injection,educational form shall be innovated to make educational work more feasible ,focused and effective .
