Self-controlled,Double-blind Trial of Escitalopram in Treatment of Socialphobia

Abstract:Objective:To explore clinical efficacy and safety of escitalopram in the treatment of socialphobia.Method:A self-controlled,double-blind trial of oral take escitalopram and placebo in the treatment of socialphobia was conducted on 16 patients,both of the escitalopram and placebo were administered orally to patients at doses of 20 mg/d for 4 weeks.Their symptoms were assessed with MSCPOR before and after the treatment.These patients were observed one by one by the method of the two-sided sequential t test.Result:While finishing the tenth patient,the results showed that escitalopram had a significant effect on socialphobia ,superior to that of the control group,without adverse effects noted.Conclusion:Escitalopram has notable curative effect,higher safety and better compliance in socialphobia patients.
