The Application of Wenfeihuayutang in the Treatment of Pediatric Asthmatic Bronchitis

Abstract：Objective:To observe the efficacy of Wenfeihuayutang in treatment of pediatric asthmatic bronchitis.Method:A total of 96 cases of pediatric asthmatic bronchitis diagnosed in our hospital from Oct 2011 to Apr 2013 were included in this study and randomly divided into the treatment group to receive combination therapy of Wenfeihuayutang and conventional western medicine,the control group to receive conventional western medicine only.After 2 weeks of treatment,the differences of the effective rate,time of cure and double infection rate between two groups were compared,the evaluation of treatment risk was also included.Result:The cure rate was higher in treatment group than that in control group(66.67%vs 43.75%,P<0.05),the invalid and double infection rates were lower in treatment group than that in control group(6.25%vs 16.67%,P<0.05;8.33%vs 25.00%,P<0.05).The time of cure in treatment group was shorter than that of control group(P<0.05),the treatment risk was not increased by WenfFeihuayutang.Conclusion:In treatment of pediatric asthmatic bronchitis, Wenfeihuayutang is a safety and effective therapy.
