The Analysis of Clinical Feature of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Patients Aged more than 80 Years

Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical feature of acute myocardial infarction in patients aged more than 80 years.Method:The clinical date of 159 elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction were analyzed retrospectively from Jan 2007 to Dec 2012 in our hospital.Result:Hypertension,stroke, and old myocardial infarction in patients aged more than 80 years with acute myocardial infarction group were significantly higher than the group aged less than 80 years(P<0.01).Acute myocardial infarcion in aged more than 80 years patients with breathing difficulties and dizziness,confusion,syncope,convulsion, neuropathy or mental symptoms onset were significantly higher than that of patients aged less than 80 years(P<0.01).With chest pain as chief complaint cases was significantly lower than that of the patients aged less than 80 years group(P<0.01).The incidence of heart failure,severe arrhythmia and 30 day mortality were significantly higher than that of patients aged less than 80 years(P<0.01).The application of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors,beta-blockers and heparin aticoagulation were significantly lower than that in aged less than 80 years group(P<0.01).And the use of diuretics was significantly higher than that in aged less than 80 years group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Acute myocardial infarction in patients aged more than 80 years are of more atherosclerosis risk factors,acute myocardial infarction symptoms are not typical and more complication.
