Comparing the Results of Pap Smear and Cervical Biopsy for 1000 Cases over 50 Years Old Women

Abstract:Objective:To compare the results of Pap smear and cervical biopsy for 1000 cases over 50 years old women.Method:The data of Pap smear for 1000 cases over 50 years old wonmen were analyzed retrospectively,comparing with cervical biopsy.Result:Pap smears suggested that atypical squamous cell of 120 cases,including 75 cases of biopsy results confirmed the ordinary inflammation,more than for the different degree of cervical lesions;10 cases of low-grade lesions,8 cases of CINⅠ/Ⅱ;25 cases of lesion,14 cases of common inflammation,more than for the CINⅡ/Ⅲ;3 cases of suspected squamous cell carcinoma,1 cases of ordinary inflammation,2 cases of squamous cell carcinoma.Conclusion:Women above 50 years old in the diagnosis of cervical Pap smear often easily misdiagnosed,cytological diagnosis physicians need to improve the diagnostic level,accumulate experience,reduce unnecessary pain of patients.
