Effect Comparison of Evidence-based Nursing and Routine Nursing for The Prevention of Ventilator-associated Pneumonia

Abstract:Objective:To compare the efficacy of evidence-based nursing and routine nursing for the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia. Method:120 cases of patients treated by breathing machine in our hospital,which were selected in our hospital from January 2011 to March 2013.They were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,60 cases in each group.The control group were taken routine nursing,and the experimental group were taken evidence-based nursing.The machinery ventilation time and the incidence of VAP of two groups were compared and analyzed.Result:The machinery ventilation time of the experimental group was significantly shorter than the control group,and the incidence of VAP of the experimental group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Evidence-based nursing for patients which were treated by breathing machine,can obviously shorten the machinery ventilation time and reduce the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
