The Effect of Glucocorticoid Inhalation Therapy on Bone Mineral Density,Bone Metabolism and Adrenal Cortex Function in Children with Asthma

Abstract：Objective:To study the effect of glucocorticoid inhalation therapy on bone mineral density,bone metabolism and adrenal cortex function in children with asthma.Method:68 cases children with asthma were selected from author’s hospital as group A and group B,who were given beclomethasone dipropionate aerosol propionate and mick aerosol inhalation treatment.At the same time,45 cases medical checks of normal children during the same period were selected from the hospital as control group,observed the difference in the development of children between group A,group B after treatment with glucocorticoid hormones intake and the control group.Result:The group A,group B and the control group children in bone mineral density,bone metabolism and inspection status of the adrenal cortex function had no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:Children with asthma in the use of glucocorticoid inhalation therapy treatment has small side effects,good safety,long-term inhaled corticosteroids has no significant effect on child development.
