Retrospective Analysis of 12 Cases for Hysterectomy Due to Postpartum Hemorrhage

Abstract:Objective:To study the cause,clinical treatment of hysterectomy due to postpartum hemorrhage.Method:12 cases of hysterectomy due to postpartum hemorrhage from Jan 2010 to Dec 2012 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Result:The placent fator was the most common reason(n=7).In these cases,4 cases had placenta implatation,3 cases had pernicious placenta previa,6 cases were comlete placenta previa,1 case had placental abruption.The second common reason was the uterus factors(n=4).The other one was amniotic fluid embolism.Hysterectomy was performed in 10 cases,and subtotal hysterectomy in 2 cases.Conclusion:Placental abnormalities and uterus factors are the major reasons for hysterectomy due to postpartum hemorrhage.
