Treatment Experience of Senile Osteoporosis

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of alfacalcidol,salmon calcitonin combined with calcium in the treatment of senile osteoporosis. Method:300 cases of elderly patients with osteoporosis from January 2009 to December 2012 in our hospital were selected as study objects,and were randomly divided into 165 cases in treatment group and 135 cases in control group,control group was given Caltrate D treatment,treatment group on the base of control group,were given alfacalcidol and salmon calcitonin treatment,the treatment course was 6 months,two groups were observed to in bone pain improvement,bone mineral density changes and adverse reactions.Result:The total effective rate of treatment group was 86.7%,significantly higher than that in control group,there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05);lumbar spine and femoral neck BMD of L2~4 after statistical analysis,had significant difference(P<0.05);the patients in two groups were no serious adverse reactions.Conclusion:Alfacalcidol,salmon calcitonin combined calcium in the treatment of senile osteoporosis have the efficacy and safety,worthy of clinical application.
