Treatment for the Occlusive Abdominal Aorta and Bilateral Iliac Arteries

Abstract:Objective:To evaluate endovascular repair of the occlusive abdominal aorta and bilateral iliac arteries.Method:Retrospectively analyzed 16 cases of aortoiliac artery occlusive disease treated endovascularly from May,2010 to May,2011.Result:Technical success was achieved in 14 cases (87.5%). In the remaining 2 cases,one case converted to above-knee amputation and the other patient died after aortobifemoral bypass.Conclusion:Endovascular repair of aortoiliac artery occlusive disease is relatively safe and effective. The technical success rate is increased significantly along with the reduction of mortality and complications.
