The Application of Artificial Dura Mater to Hemicraniectomy in Patients with Severe Traumatic Brain Injury

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of large trauma and artificial dural in traumatic brain injury surgery.Method:43 patients with artificial dural in traumatic brain injury surgery were analysed retrospectively,from January 2010 to June 2013.Result:1 patient died of acute high intracranial pressure, more than 42 cases of survival.Evaluation of 1 to six months after GOS:7 cases(16.2%) were cured,mild disability in 12 cases(27.9%),moderate disability in 15 cases(34.8%),severe disability in 5 cases(11.6%),3 cases(7%) of vegetative state,1 case(2.3%) was death.The 40 survivors were followed up,no obvious adverse reaction.Conclusion:Artificial dural repairingcom is safe and effective in large trauma brain injury surgery,It is worthy of clinical application.
