Research on the Correlation Between Carotid Artery Plaques and Ischemic Stroke
Abstract：Objective:To analyze the correlation between carotid plaques and ischemic stroke.Method:From March 2013 to Jun 2013,the data of 200 carotid plaques ultrasound of the diagnosised ischemic stroke were collected and analyzed,measured the intima-media thickness (IMT),observaed echo and position of the plaques.The other the data of 150 common patients carotid artery ultrasound were compared.Result:Abnormal signs of carotid arteries such as Intima-media thickness and plaques formation were found in 152 cases of 200 patients with ischemic stroke and total lesion detection rate was up to 76%.31 cases with carotid plaques were found in control group and lesion detection rate was 21%.There was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).In 152 cases with carotid plaques,132 were found in artery bifurcation.There was significant difference between the artery bifurcation and other positions(P<0.05).Conclusion:Total carotid plaques lesion detection rate of the ischemic stroke is higher than other patients,and then,the carotid plaques lesion detection rate is higher than other positions.
