The Efficacy Analysis of the Nasal Irrigation after Endoscopic Surgery in 50 Cases with Chronic Rhinitis and Sinusitis

Abstract:Objective:To explore the efficacy of the nasal irrigation after endoscopic sinus surgery.Method:One hundred patients with the diagnosis of chronic rhinitis-Sinusitis were selected,and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.Fifty cases in the observation group used the postoperative nasal wash with 0.9%sodium chloride injection,2 times a day,from 6 to 8 weeks.Fifty patients in the control group didn’t use the postoperative nasal irrigation.The rest of procedures were same in two groups.Result:Three months after surgery,the efficacy of the observation group was higher than the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The nasal irrigation with 0.9%sodium chloride injection after endoscopic sinus surgery can reduce the inflammatory response,promote the secretions exclusion,promote the repair of the surgical cavity mucosa.
